Dixie Chopper is helping fight the battle against cancer by providing a new Iron Eagle mower for an online auction to benefit Putnam County Relay for Life.

The Iron Eagle 2350 - featuring a 23-hp Kohler engine and a 50-inch cutting deck - carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $5,299. More information on the Iron Eagle is available at dixiechopper.com.

Bidding starts at $2,000 and will begin Feb. 25. Bidding closes at 11a.m. April 26.

As the Iron Eagle auction progresses, the high bid will be announced every Friday at 5 p.m. on the local American Cancer Society's Relay for Life website at www.relayforlife.org/putnamcountyin.

The successful high bidder will be responsible for making arrangements for pick-up or delivery of the mower.

The annual 24-hour Putnam County Relay for Life event is scheduled for April 25-26 (12 p.m. Saturday through 12 p.m. Sunday) at DePauw University's Blackstock Stadium in Greencastle, Ind. It is annually one of the top collegiate Real for Life fundraising efforts in the country.
