Meeting with the governor are President/CEO Gary Morgan (left) and (from third left) Vice President Jeff Haltom, board member Gary Pershing and Chairman of the Board/founder Art Evans.

Owner Art Evans, President/CEO Gary Morgan, Vice President Jeff Haltom and board member Gary Pershing were privileged to share 15 minutes alone with Gov. Daniels before his public appearance.

While voicing timely concerns about the economy and the state of manufacturing in the United States, Dixie Chopper officials briefed the governor on new product development and sought his advice and assistance on governmental issues associated with a new manufacturing project. Following the brief but productive meeting, the governor promised to look into some related matters when he got back to Indianapolis.

Before he left to address the crowd assembled in a nearby conference room at the Walden Inn, Gov. Daniels also shared his passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and got a few laughs with a personal story about Oklahoma billionaire T. Boone Pickens.
