RhinoAg Welcomes Dixie Chopper
February 28, 2020(FEBRUARY 27, 2020) – In the fall of 2019, Alamo Group Inc. (NYSE: ALG) announced the acquisition of the Dixie Chopper business assets from Textron Outdoor Power Equipment Inc., a subsidiary of Textron Inc.
Ron Robinson, Alamo Group’s President and Chief Executive Officer commented, “We are pleased to have completed the acquisition of Dixie Chopper. They are an iconic brand in the zero-turn mowing industry and provide both a range of products and channel coverage that will complement and enhance our platform for growth. They will become part of Alamo Group’s Agricultural Division.”
RhinoAg, an Alamo Group company, has incorporated the manufacturing and multiple business functions into the Gibson City, Illinois facility. Since the acquisition in late 2019, the production line has been created and the first complete mower rolled off the line 104 days later. As the assembly team continues to grow, a renewed focus on quality is the foremost priority.

To create a seamless transition for the existing Dixie Chopper dealers across the country, the Customer Service, In-side Sales, Technical Service, Warranty, and Parts Department functions remain near the original manufacturing site just outside of Greencastle, Indiana. This continuation of support from veteran Dixie Chopper employees ensures dealers are receiving top-notch support every day.
For customers with previously purchased mowers, rest assured Dixie Chopper will continue to honor all valid warranties and provide parts support going forward. Dixie Chopper dealers have and will continue to offer genuine Dixie Chopper parts.
